The Cost Analysis Blueprint

The Cost Analysis Blueprint identifies Which Medical Conditions Represent the Highest Cost?

A concise, easy to read chart that sorts medical conditions from highest to lowest by total cost. Clients select individual medical conditions from this blueprint for further analysis.

The Cost Analysis Blueprint sorts grouped claims data into network-wide costs by specialty and condition within each specialty. Specialties are listed, in order, from highest total cost to lowest. Conditions, within each specialty, are also listed from highest total cost to lowest.

The Cost Analysis Blueprint contains a data cell for each specialty/condition combination. Each data cell includes information such as total cost, rank (in dollars) among other conditions within the same specialty, and percent of specialty cost.

Clients use the Cost Analysis Blueprint to guide their decision concerning which specialty/condition to analyze further. Decisions are made based on their particular needs, the local environment, past experiences and current programs.
